The Whitecaps became the first Canadian club to qualify for the MLS Cup playoffs, in 2012.
In 2025, Vancouver reached both the CONCACAF Champions Cup final (lost to Cruz Azul) and the MLS Cup final (lost to Inter Miami) — the best MLS-era season on record for the club, though without a title.
