Alberta iGaming launches 13/07/2026: what to expect

SCHEDULED PREVIEW — published 09/07/2026, four days ahead of the 13/07/2026 launch date. This entry describes what is scheduled to happen on launch day, based on AGLC's and AiGC's own published plans; it is not a report of events that have already occurred. We will publish a genuinely dated launch-day entry with real outcomes on 13/07/2026 once the market actually opens, rather than back-dating this preview.

On 13/07/2026, AGLC-registered operators that have also executed a commercial agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) are expected to begin legally accepting deposits and wagers from Alberta players for the first time. Before this date, deposits and wagering are not permitted under the new regime regardless of an operator's registration status — registration alone does not equal a live launch for that brand.

Expect the registered-operator list to firm up in the final days before launch as remaining AiGC agreements are executed; some registered brands may not be live on day one even if AGLC-registered. Our operators tracker will be updated once the confirmed launch-day list is published — check the dataset's "last verified" date before citing a specific figure.

For players outside Alberta, nothing changes on 13/07/2026: this is an Alberta-only regulated market, it does not affect the grey-tolerated posture in the rest of Canada, and Verdikt continues to list zero operators for Alberta and Ontario alike.
