Ottawa Senators

Today's Ottawa Senators (est. 1992) have zero Stanley Cups and one Final appearance (2007) — a separate, folded 1883-1934 Ottawa franchise won four Cups but is not the same legal entity. A new downtown arena is planned for the early 2030s.

History & dynasties

The modern Senators' only Stanley Cup Final appearance came in 2007, a loss to Anaheim.

A separate, legally distinct original Ottawa Senators franchise (1883-1934, folded) won four Stanley Cups from 1920 to 1927 — not the same entity as today's team, and not counted in this franchise's title tally.

The National Capital Commission signed a land-sale agreement in August 2025 for a new downtown LeBreton Flats arena, targeted to open around 2031-2032.
